Experience/Expertise:   Scott was licensed in 1975 as an agent and then 1978 licensed as a Broker. He and his sister Carol started Griffith Realty, Inc in 1981. He has been recognized three times as Livingston County's Realtor of the Year and in 2009 named Realtor of the Year for Michigan. He has also served as President of the Michigan Association of Realtors and a Director and Regional Vice President (representing Michigan and Ohio) for the National Association of Realtors.  In 2013 he was President of the Commercial Board of Realtors. In 2002 Governor Engler appointed him to the Board of Real Estate Brokers for the State of Michigan. In 2016, the National Association of Realtors recognized him with the Realtor Emeritus status.

 Personal Information:  On a local and personal level, he has been involved in many family and children's events. He has been active in his church as an Elder, including mission trips to other countries. He has dedicated himself to community volunteerism through Brighton Rotary, Brighton DDA, Brighton Chamber of Commerce, Livingston County United Way, American Red Cross and many more community organizations and events. He has served as a director for the Brighton Commerce Bank and Old Kent Bank-Brighton. He has served as an elected member of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis' Affordable Housing Advisory Council.  He is a past Chairman of the Board of the Livingston County Economic Development Council and served on the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of Ann Arbor SPARK.
